LUV a Coffee Shop
A selection of light meals, sandwiches, coffee, cold drinks, ice confection, confectionary and magazines are available at the Coffee Shop for you and your visitor’s convenience. The Coffee Shop is located on the ground floor of the Specialist Suites building and is open for service:

Interpreters
A telephone interpreter service is available on request. Please contact the Day Surgery prior to admission if this is required. Family members are encouraged to attend the Day Surgery with you for help.
Refreshments
A selection of sandwiches, coffee, tea, juice and biscuits are provided following your procedure.
Special Diets
Only a small range of Gluten free food is available at the Day Surgery. Patients with specific requirements are encouraged to bring a small snack to eat following their procedure.
Newspapers and magazines
Are provided for reading in the waiting areas of the Day Surgery
Parking
Parking for patients and visitors is available under the building accessible via Marine Parade. Short Street Day Surgery does not charge for parking in the car park. There are also a number of paid parking areas available at the front of the Day Surgery. These are run by Gold Coast City Council and a fine may be issued if vehicles are parked for longer than paid. You are requested NOT to park in parking bays allocated to Doctors and ambulances to ensure access in an emergency.
Cars parked in disabled car spaces must display a valid permit.
Patient Privacy
Ramsay Health Care complies with the Commonwealth Privacy Act and all other state/territory Legislative requirements in relation to the management of personal information. Our patients can feel safe in the knowledge that we safeguard their personal health information ensuring that confidentiality is respected and information is stored securely.
Pharmacy
If post-operative medications are required during your admission you will receive a separate account from the Pharmacy.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed inside the hospital.

Valuables
We recommend that all your valuables be sent home as the hospital accepts no liability for items of value and cash brought into the hospital. Small items can be lodged in the hospital safe. This safety deposit facility is available at your request and arrangements for deposits may be made through your nursing staff. Do not leave items and cash unattended in your room
Volunteers
Short Street Day Surgery has a Volunteer Program. The volunteers are known as the ‘Friends of Pindara’ and are part of the Pindara Hospital Volunteer program. They provide a range of services such as helping with beverages, assisting with patient transport and providing feedback to management on consumer issues.
